| Cannon flips to the next page of Captain Underpants. |
Cannon couldn’t wait to get to Chapter 4 of the Captain
Underpants book we started last week. He really likes the antics of George and Harold
who enjoy playing jokes on their classmates and on their principle Mr. Krupp.
Cannon did silent reading for the first few pages and we highlighted those
words that Cannon indicated were new to him. Then we read together and did a good bit of laughing.

| Hiding Tiger by Cannon Hoops |
We took a break from reading and cut more paper shapes for
the “hiding tiger” collage we started last week. We worked together to paste
the shapes down.
The pasta machine was unpacked so that we could make the
first part of our special Valentines.
Cannon softened the Sculpy clay and then he turned the crank on the
pasta machine. He used a cookie cutter
to cut out heart shapes. Then he pressed a message into the hearts.
Playing with Numbers
We practiced counting to 100 first, by 10’s then by
5’s. We used the hundreds chart, and the
five’s chart and the new Mathlink cubes.
More Reading!
Cannon kept asking for more Captain Underpants so in between
our other activities we read six more chapters of the book. George and Harold are planning to hypnotize
Principal Krupp...to be continued.
